I think Spartan is pretty much what Gemini should've been, as the 'security' features are pretty much pointless and I don't think anyone cares or relies on them. Although client certificates did make SpellBinding game tracking much easier.

yeah, i tried to mock up a session id via a randomky generated url, and it got complicatd fast... But there are few places that need that, most static gemlogs out there certainly don't.

I haven't understood Spartan well till I learned more about Gopher.
I'd like to make my capsule accessible for very old and underpowered computers and spinning a Spartan server seems to be a good starting point.
Can anyone recommend me a Spartan Server? I would run it on a FreeBSD VPS!
