Re: "Clone Hero on Batocera Linux"
Toddler? Get him a little toy piano or a uke, for god's sakes.
Why teach kids completely pointless and useless skills?

Relax! He's got the Ukelele already as well as a harmonica and a xylophone. I am not intending to make my boy play the videogame at this stage of his life. I am just thinking ahead and exploring what is possible.
Also, I was looking into some videos of people playing drums on Clone Hero and it seems to me that the skills required shuold be useful for learning to play actual drums. I think I would rather get him to do that before getting him an actual drum set.

If I may, how did you go about getting Clone Hero to run on Batocera? I've been having trouble getting native linux ports to run.

@BogCreechur I followed the instructions for Ports in the Batocera Wiki, which essentially require you to put the game files in a specific folder and create an sh file to launch the game. What I do often forget to do is to ssh into Batocera and make the necessary files executable (i.e., chmod +x). I think that flag is lost when you copy the files over the network.
I managed to run Lagrange on Batocera the same way.

Clone Hero on Batocera Linux โ I have a toddler that has started showing interest in music. I was thinking about old games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band and how they could possibly help him develop some sense of tempo and rythm. After a quick search I found an amazing fan-made project called Clone Hero (maybe everyone knows about it and I've just been living under a rock). Turns out it works great on Linux and I managed to easily get it running on Batocera as a Port. Now it is just a matter of...
