Here is a test (according to youtube:) Break off a strand and try to set it on fire. If it's food it will smoke and go out. If it lights up and drips fiery drops, it is plastic.

@stack Thanks for the tip. It's a good one for electrical wiring too (copper vs copper coated).
I do indeed have a packet of something which I suspect is inedible (basically unchewable, at least). I'll give it a go and see if it melts.

Maggi stir-fry noodles - Chili, bag 148gr โ Now, making these as an instant noodle is a little "adventurous", I readily admit. It's not suitable as a(n instant) noodle, maybe after stir-frying? The "noodles" themselves are nothing to write home about (not really noodles IMO). Theres' a modicum of spices but not enough salt and umami. Low - medium-spicy. Tastes alright with some additions. Verdict: Meh
