Modern tech megacompanies seem to have a need for a single-word idea to throw hundreds of billions at. Consider that a handful of years ago, VR or 'metaverse' or whatever was the thing -- if you were not in, you were done! I was laughing so hard, envisioning office buildings full of employees in business attire with goggles on running around while their goggled bosses swung virtual golf clubs in offices with fabulous views. Hah.
This technology at least has some teeth -- the elimination of that tech support guy in Bangladesh who tells you 'please unplug your router and wait two minutes'. Some meaningless jobs will be lost, and a lot of clip art and pop music will get really weird.
