I assume the reduced complexity of gemini makes it less prone to security vulnerabilities in both clients and servers (except if the clients do more things, like Lagrange showing images, requiring more libraries that could have vulnerabilities)

I just discovered that Invidious (this instance: inv.nadeko.net) allows you to create an account without requiring an email - when was the last time any website allowed you to create an account without an email???!!

Nice being able to create accounts in Geminispace using client certificates and no need for email, plus website accounts tie your identity to a domain name you don't control, and also emails almost always aren't encrypted
