Déjà Dup vs Pika Backup

I'm successfully using the Déjà Dup tool to back up my files onto a flash drive, but I recently found Pika Backup, and it looks like something more modern. Unlike Déjà Dup, Pika uses BorgBackup as its backend.

What do you think about these tools, and which one is better today?

I see only a difference in file storage formats: Pika creates additional meta files on the drive, while Déjà Dup encrypts everything with PGP. However, I'm hesitant to try Pika since Déjà Dup has saved my computer life many times, and Pika is just something new.

@HanzBrix Thanks, but I won't use rsync on the desktop for various reasons; I deal with too many command-line interfaces at work, and I prefer a simple UI for home use. It's nothing important here, but maybe PK from BBS, lol.
