During my hiatus from being online, I got an interest in film photography. I have no idea what I'm doing in photography so I went down a rabbit hole reading photography blogs. I really wanted to buy a Rollei 35, but didn't like the cost of the refurbished ones so I went for a cheaper - but equally interesting - Minox 35.

I also bought the Kodak Ektar point-n-shoot half frame camera, just for some fun. Film gets developed at "TheDarkRoom" which is based out of California.

Anyone shoot film here?

Have done. The real rabbit hole is doing your own black and white prints. Really easy because it's not temperature dependant like colour.

Get your negatives, do a test strip, choose your prints and off you go. It's a joy watching images appear in the developer as you wash the paper round.

Only down side is the commitment to having a space that is blacked out, but a small cupboard or bathroom could suffice.

I'm old enough to have shot on film before digital photography existed.

Same. I learnt on a Minolta SLR. Lovely experience.

I, too, have used film before digital. I guess I'm getting back into it then (?). my first camera was a hand-me-down from my parents, a 110 format Kodak camera with a giant flash. I loved that thing.

@Ashnar - that sounds fun
