Model M's are incredible!
I thought I was happy with my Das keyboard. But, having renovated and plugged in my Model M from 1989, and, oh my God!
I've always had cheapo clone keyboards -- this is my first true IBM. It is a real joy to type on. It sings.
Now, I don't think I can use it when my partner is around, because it is incredibly loud. But oh, so satisfyingly loud! And at least for a while there is no one to disturb here.
It took a bit of effort to restore it, wash everything and rebolt it. But I can't believe I've been denying my fingers this pleasure.

I have a Model M that was lying around in my old workplace. I happily snatched it, but unfortunately realized that there's a bunch of keys that do not work properly.
I always say that I want to take it apart and see if I'm able to troubleshoot, but never get around to do it.
Pity, it's an awesome keyboard and the feedback is insanely satisfying. When I was a child, my uncle had an old 286 with that very keyboard, brings back very fond memories ❤️
