halow (802.11ah) + b.a.t.m.a.n (802.11s) + yggdrasil — i have learnt about HaLow here. low power wifi on lower frequencies, lower speed but longer distances. open standard so can be and is implemented by different parties, unlike lorawan. then there's a mesh technology for wifi networks and as i understand, there are halow cards that also support b.a.t.m.a.n. okay, we have physical connection, but what about dynamic routing and packet forwarding? here yggdrasil comes to mind. it can do that...

AMA: mesh builder in ND — Hi Gemheads! I want to start a conversation with anyone thats interested in deploying Meshtastic (or MeshCore, same hw) infrastructure. We have a few nodes up on towers to cover our plains geography. I and a buddy trained in tower climbing to be able to install and maintain nodes that would be cost prohibitive without volunteered time. Most nodes are built in house. no bluetooth after enabling wifi — i think, since i have enabled wifi on lilygo T lora v2.1-1.6 (custom built, not bought from them), bluetooth on that device stopped working. i see that device is connecting, that it sees people, but the phone is not able to connect to the device. pidgin with pidgin-meshtastic plugin via usb is able to connect. also i have installed meshtastic python software, disabled wifi, increased timeout of ble announecement, but still i can't see it. not sure what to...

How big is the intersection between Geminauts and Meshtastic users? — I wonder how many people here are also meshtastic users! After all, one could say that Geminispace is as "Off-Grid" to the Internet as Meshtastic is to ... WiFi? Just on a different layer of the OSI model!
