Re: "Tiny thermal printer is a lot of fun"
Ah well, that is disappointing, but then I guess not everything has to last forever. Then again, if you only need that password for a few seconds, maybe thermal printing should be preferred. This password will self destruct after several years...

@candycanearter Managed to connect the printer via bluetooth to a server running Ubuntu but had trouble setting up cups to use the bluetooth printer.
If I have more time and manage to set it up I will surely post it on my blog

yeah, it would have been nice to print a message from uptime kuma or gotify about downtime, ups logs. this way an archive of the events would have been on paper ๐

The first smaller camera I've heard of from the internet is the Gameboy camera. I also never used a small printer, if only I have one, but that'll wait.

Danger!
Thermal printers use paper coated with a substance that is toxic very bad for your health. Likewise with most receipts in stores. Do a little research before letting your kid spend too much time handling the paper.

Original Post
Tiny thermal printer is a lot of fun โ My daughter just turned 8, and one of her birthday gifts was a tiny thermal printer - the kind that spits out little notes, stickers and Sudokus with no ink, just magic. She loved it ... for about a day. Now I'm the one using it constantly for a lot of stuff. The full post and some photos are available on [gemini link]
