This is obviously an arbitrary limit meant to keep people to primarily text-based blogs though, isn't it? It wasn't made with a gempub of the entire thing in mind.

Maybe you should talk to them and ask if such gempub generation can be accomplished dynamically, then? Because that's the only limit you'd actually be hitting.

After years of blogging, I can summarize only that my gemdick is larger than this hole expected.

I got in fine with ctrl-c.club. I only moved my capsule when I wanted to support Spartan as well. I don't know what limits they apply, but I never hit them.

Yesterweb had 1 Gb to compare with Flounder...

Just search for a tilde with a Gemini server.

For something more permanent sign up for sdf.org. they've been around for decades. I think you need to give them a couple of bucks once to get a full membership but it's well worth it

๐Ÿ‘ป ps:

Wondering of the Flounder hosting limits: Max file size: 1MB Max user space: 10MB Max file count: 1024 [gemini link] My capsule offers a .zip download for offline reading; it's about 3 MB, so I can't use this hosting because of the very small size limits. Seriously - are there no hosting options in Geminispace anymore after Yesterweb?
