s/Geminispace
Everything meta about the Geminispace, which doesn't fit into s/Gemini, because it's not related to the protocol or Gemtext, and also doesn't fit the more specialized subspaces. E.g. announcements, shutdown notices, random info, even idle chatter.

— Michael Nordmeyer: New Antenna — Official, But Federatable
This is an enhanced version compared to the original Antenna. Looking pretty good!
Unfortunately, sourcehub is still under DDoS attacks and the whole thing is unstable. SourceHub Pages is also affected by this.

Satellite Antenna — I have set up a new instance of Antenna sync'd to @mk270 's instance to enable a kind of "federation" and redundancy. Posts to mk270's instance will show up at the top of the hour on Satellite Antenna. [gemini link] Satellite Antenna announcement [gemini link] Satellite Antenna

Gemini census? — What demographic questions would you find useful on a Gemini census? Is there anything which would be helpful to know as you participate in Geminispace and as you develop for Gemini? When I have free time this summer, I'd like to host a little community census so that data is available. Happy to hear your thoughts!

It's Flounder again. Now I'm having an issue with WebP files - I can upload PNG and JPG, but not WebP (via SSH). Could someone please report this? I've tried contacting the maintainers by email with no response; perhaps they'll see this. My rclone config: [bash] [https link]

I have set up a new Antenna instance at [gemini link] It is synced with the original at warmedal.se, and I have written tools which allow people to copy their filter file over. There is a short post here with a little more detail: [gemini link]

Wondering of the Flounder hosting limits: Max file size: 1MB Max user space: 10MB Max file count: 1024 [gemini link] My capsule offers a .zip download for offline reading; it's about 3 MB, so I can't use this hosting because of the very small size limits. Seriously - are there no hosting options in Geminispace anymore after Yesterweb?

Looking for Gemini hosting with the subdomains (my blog contain relative references) and FTP feature.

A Few Capsules — I became a little jaded with the state of Gemspace a while ago; the amount of autogenerated aggregator spam cropping up all over gemspace, copypasta from the Web with little regard for compatability with Gemtext etc. It all started to look - to me at least - just like what annoyed me about the Web. So, rather than complain about it I thought I'd share a few Caps that are definitely human-made, and aren't "techy", in the hopes that I contribute to the good things about...

ew0k is looking for someone to take over Antenna. Now's your chance to help keep a key piece of the Geminispace infrastructure up and running. (@gritty already has the DSN Antenna, of course.)

R.I.P. Yesterweb — hi my name is iris, i wrote the software that runs this service. ok so . as im sure you're aware, the yesterweb "shut down" quite a while ago. like 4 years ago. yestercities stayed up as many users were still actively using it, but due to my own mental health and the community exploding, i stopped maintaining this service. sorry to those of you who continued to use it despite that. recently, a malicious actor abused the a vulnerability in the webdav file manager that i had...

Something went wrong with Yesterweb! — By syncing my gemlog updates I see following logs (attachment) Looks like web-root config was malformed and many of blog pages was deleted. I hope administrators reading this and have backup to rollback this!

The help page for geminispace [gemini link] uses the link [gemini link] to refer to the Titan specification, but that link is dead. [gemini link] seems to be the replacement.

Looks like my tarpit has managed to serve about 31,000 pages to alvus.nl — I had a post a while back about crawlers that ignore robots.txt: So when I made my personal capsule at buffering.party I created "the tarpit" - a part of the site listed in robots.txt that just returns never-ending links that get slower and slower as you go. Looking at the logs I see good ol alvus.nl is still chugging away at...

Bandwidth use over a month. — I just saw a a ad for mobile Internet and started to wonder how much data is needed per month for a gemini server? (This doesn't include being slashdoted.) The options are 5, 10, 20, 40 and 100GB. How cheap can I be?

Hi! Which public gemini server do you have an account on / write on / host your capsule on? And as for the usual suspects, do you have an idea which ones are written on the most or which ones are the most active? I would be really interested to know. Thanks in advance!

Small rant: I do not understand why some people on the Web still claim that Geminispace is exclusionary. To me, exclusion implies intent: the deliberate implementation of some mechanism that is specifically designed to make it harder for people to be included. Gated neighborhoods are exclusionary. Secret clubs are exclusionary. Invite-only forums are exclusionary. Gemini is not exclusionary--it's just a different place than HTTPS. If the Web is a bustling downtown city center full of...

Known crawler IPs? — I've noticed shortly after posting about my video game music stream, there's been a connection streaming for nearly 20 hours straight. I can disconnect it, and figure it it's an actual person they'll reconnect after some time. But I suspect it may be a crawler that doesn't check robots.txt, doesn't have logic to abort if a request takes too long or has too many bytes, etc. I know one crawler (Kennedy) publishes their IP addresses. Totally Legit Gemini Search doesn't but...

Brought my internet radio station into Gemini — Hi there everybody, just thought I'd share a small project I've been working on. I've been helping run an internet radio station featuring videogame music, and I thought it'd be neat to give it a Gemini presence. If your client supports it, you can stream music. There's links to a few different audio codecs (MP3, Opus, Vorbis, AAC). You can also use a client certificate to register an IRC...

Geminauts and their Operative Systems — I'm wondering what operative systems are used by geminauts (desktop/laptop devices, not mobile ones). May be this poll has more options than geminauts xD.
