Interesting feature. However, Tor is often associated with making me more visible than using a standard connection. I would prefer a local network or I2P instead. By the way, Reticulum offers an interesting LXMF/API for messaging and has a routing model that is similar (and possibly inspired by) garlic routing; it also supports overlay mode, among other features.

Well, I use NymVPN with Tor usage, thus hiding Tor activities. I2P I do not like because of Java.

I don't like Tor; I can't quite pinpoint why, but it feels more government-oriented than community-driven. It's like having ten government servers to choose from, reminiscent of choices in Soviet communism. Let them party without me; I would prefer I2P via Yggdrasil.
