@lars_the_bear I agree. The mute function is a democratization of online moderation which has pretty much always gone hand in hand with enshittification. It inclines admins to think they can get by with too few and/or bad moderators. And yes, it also prevents the users from learning to ignore trolls.

Thank God and @skyjake for the mute feature. Have to remember to use it more often.
