Strudel is actually a javascript/web implementation of Tidalcycles, so sounds like you want to try Tidalcycles

Music programming — Hello BBS *tips fedora. So I came across this software package called “Strudel” that lets you write an algorithm to produce music. The melody will react live as you make modification to your code. Amazing!
