No, my thinking is:
- Always keep the checkboxes on the bottom;
- Start by showing the logo and the score table;
- After the first or second round, hide them;
- If the user clicks any checkboxes, selection stays for the duration of the game, or until changed
I think removing the logo and the table after a round or two gives enough time to see where you are, and gives newbies a chance to look at the score table, with the option of bringing it back if they need it. In the meantime, the daily players will have a smoother interaction.

Update โ I'll be posting an update to Farkle today with two requested features: die-value selection input (vs position), and enable/disable of the logo and points table to assist smaller screens. If nothing breaks this should be up today...
