Rate-limit to 56kbits/sec (that is around 7kilobytes/sec) and play some modem sounds while downloading an album for 4 hours...

I forgot to check the I2PSnark limits. After changing its value to 1024, the upload speed has increased to an estimated 650 KB/s. I'm not prepared to allocate more bandwidth anyway because:
- my router is not very powerful.
- I'm connecting to I2P over Yggdrasil and don't want to overuse my public peer, which I'm using for free.

Yet another session (upload limit set to 2024 KB/s)

I never understood the function of Yggdrasil in connecting to i2p. Something to do with wriggling around national filters that try to block i2p? Consistent addressing. I've tried to look it up, but I keep finding contradictory answers. I run i2pd without Yggdrasil, including using Postman's tracker. I also have a little web server hosting an i2p service which I can use to share my collection of dubiously legal media (fodder for terrible movie nights) with friends and friends-of-friends-of-friends.

Yesterday, I registered on tracker2.postman.i2p and uploaded my first GB via I2P. The estimated speed is about 50-250 KB/s, which is sufficient for torrenting, even though this network reminds me of dial-up times :)
