I am not sure what home internet has to do with it. Most people here use tilde servers to keep their gemlogs (they don't call them web pages here). Others rent inexpensive Virtual Private Servers (VPSs) -- I pay 4 bucks a month for one.
Serving from home is something very few people do, because you have to be a security expert to avoid disaster. I don't do it because I don't have the knowlege and the discipline/attention span to keep adequate security.
That has nothing to do with Gemini -- opening a port to the Internet is just a dangerous activity.

@stack Well regardless of how its done, its kind of hard to set up something like that from a mobile browser. Much easier to do that kind of power usage on an actual computer.
