i think those are ai crawlers.
i was asked to look why friend's server was very slow. apparently it had load average of 60 while it has only one cpu and it was scraped by ai crawlers.
i tinkered with server configs (decreased keepalive, number of workers, i don't remember what, etc) while my friend tinkered in cloudflare dashboard. it was already behind cloudflare and my friend was confident this prooblem can't be ai bots because they would be filtered. so they haven't been. he turned on something, i applied some settings, i think both measures helped.

In line with that comment, recently I learned about Amubis and am installing it on my server.
@ballon nice to know. It was new to me that sh can host capsules. I am not sure if only AI bots are the source. I think there is a massive interest to destroy the reputation of sh or codeberg.
yes, anubis is used by many projects, that don't have very strong infrastructure.
irony is, ai crawlers are created by corporate world.
to scan and “know” “everything”.
but normal non-corporate servers can't stand the load. so they need to protect themselves via tools like anubis.
thus ai crawlers will get mainstream information from strong servers. they won't get marginal data about marginal projects.
ai won't know anything: as a product of corporate world it will be best used with corporate tech by corporate workers.
for example: maemo-leste (linux for phones), freepascal compiler pages use anubis.
both infras can't stand ai bot load. so ai won't know much about them.
