What does the 'coord' field mean by the server implementation - geo/IP or just a random plant climate zone? I feel uncomfortable on the internet; it seems I'm close to leaving this tracking/logging place for good. Bad Place For A Good Time (c) Kate Tempest.

inability to login over offpunk, i keep getting error AttributeError: 'builtins.Certificate' object has no attribute 'not_valid_after_utc'. anyone know how/if i can fix this? for now im using kristall to keep my plant alive

without any bots I managed to get to 666th generation and named my plant Beelzebub 😀. [gemini link] I now have to wait about 650 days and get my plant to 666 days alive. Take a screenshot and keep it 😀 What plans do you have for your plant?

Periodic Bloom — I suggest that plants should periodically bloom. What they do now is so unnatural: bloom and then carry seeds forever.

In case you missed it, @mozz has addressed the recent server issues (on the game Message Board): I have implemented a few changes in response to the slowness: There is now a blanket rule against using bots on astrobotany. This is nothing personal against bot operators. I just don't have the time to properly watch the logs and optimize the server, track down misbehaving bots, etc. I went through and blocked around 8 IP addresses that looked like bots. @mozz is there a way to delete old letters we sent / received? I have some that I want to get rid of. It's not critical and I can live with just ignoring them, but some spring cleaning would be nice.

Bug Report: Picking Petals — Plants mature very fast nowadays (old users, high generation count). If the plant moves from flowering to seeding while you have its page open, the "pick a petal" link leads to a "You should not be here" error. A better message would be "The flowers turned to fruit".

I find it interesting that people wrote bots to harvest their plants for the next generation. I was refreshing the leaderboard and watched the generations increase. at that point, the three harvesting screens are the limiting time factor to go up a generation. meanwhile I'm thinking two days is too fast.
