I recently disabled and masked local search indexer in GNOME, now my HDD can rest in silence!
Before, this fucking indexer make me angry, by awaiting for FS unlock on coding, especially with Firefox running and caching these 'modern' Web pages. Madness! I hate you all, money/feature makers, SDD traders and their users; users especially - I should drop yours ugly software all this time instead of installing required one.

This is an example of what I think of as the "Windowsification" of Linux -- resource-hogging background services, intended to make things easier for people who can't use `find` or `grep`.
Sure, there's a use for these things; but installing and enabling them by default is a step too far.
